Marshall Thomas
Director of Bands

Marshall Thomas is currently in his 11th year at Langham Creek where he is proud to be the Head Band Director of this storied band program.

Previously, Mr. Thomas served as an Associate and Assistant Band Director and Percussion Director. Under Mr. Thomas’ direction, his concert bands have earned consistent sweepstakes at UIL Concert & Sight Reading Contest and the Langham Creek Percussion Ensemble performed at the 2017 Sandy Feldstein National Percussion Festival in Indianapolis, IN. In addition to his role as Head Band Director, he is also the sponsor for the Tri M Music Honor Society.

Mr. Thomas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Houston. He is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and the Percussive Arts Society.

Kaitlyn Galloway
Assistant Director

Ms. Galloway is currently in her 5th year at Langham Creek. She is an Alumnus of L.C.H.S. and is proud to be back and a part of this team.

Ms. Galloway has been a soloist with multiple groups who performed at the 2017 Texas Music Educators Association Clinic and Convention, as well as the 2019 Midwest Clinic and Convention. She was a member of The 2016 Colts Drum and Bugle Corps, and The 2017, 2018 Oregon Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps. Ms. Galloway has earned sweepstakes with her ensemble at Langham Creek. As well as being assistant band director, she is also the sponsor of Tri M Music Honor Society.

Ms. Galloway holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with a focus on Oboe from Stephen F. Austin State University. She is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters, International Double Reed Society, and Kappa Kappa Psi Alumni Association. Ms. Galloway lives in Katy with her fiancé, four dogs, and two cats.5th

Rene Rosas
Assistant Director

Mr. Rosas is currently in his 4th year at Langham Creek where he is proud to be the assistant Band Director/Percussion Director of this storied band program. 

Previously, Mr. Rosas served as an Assistant Band Director/ Percussion Director at Spring High School, Cypress Lakes High School and Haltom High School. Under Mr. Rosas direction, his percussion ensembles have earned national, state and regional recognition and championships. Notably at the 2012 Midwest Clinic, NTCA/TCGC class champions 2013, 2018, bronze medalist 2019, and grand champions at the 2022 Aldine Percussion ensemble contest.

Mr. Rosas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Texas State University. He is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters. Mr. Rosas lives in Cypress with his wife Mrs. Rosas, band director at Kahla Middle School, and their kids Renner and Rebeca.
